About Malaysia

Malaysia lies in the South China Sea and is bordered by Thailand to the north and Singapore to the south. The Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak are separated from the mainland by the South China Sea and are a verdant oasis of tropical rainforest. Malaysia has a coastline of over 4500 Kilometres and boasts both white and black volcanic sand beaches.

The Malaysian rainforests are known for their abundance in wildlife and perhaps most famously for their orang-utan population. For a chance to view these marvellous creatures in their natural habitat you should head to the Sabah and Sarawak regions. Also not to be missed are the twin towers of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpar which dominate the city’s skyline. Come here for white sandy beaches and a bustling metropolis.

Malaysia Holiday Attractions

While in Malaysia there is plenty for you to see and do. The island of Langkawi is popular with people seeking sand and surf and is a great place for lazing on the beach.

The capital city of Kuala Lumpar is the place to go for shopping and a buzzing urban scene. With plenty of bars and restaurants not to mention markets and stalls it is easy to spend a few days enjoying this modern city.

Another reason to visit Malaysia is to watch the turtles as they lay their eggs on the beaches.

Malaysia Weather

Malaysia is a tropical country which lies close to the equator. The best time to visit Malaysia is during the dry season from May to September when temperatures are between 21 and 32 Celsius and the sunshine is guaranteed.
